EC One, the independent London jewellery retailer, has re-launched their Open Call event due to its overwhelming success in 2011. The retailer is hoping to attract fresh new talent to add to their designer contributors as well as benefit the participants. Jewellery designers are invited to present their collections to EC One’s buyers while also gaining business advice on manufacturing and design.
The event will be held at EC One’s Exmouth shop on May 18th and designers are encouraged to apply prior to the date to arrange a time slot and find out what they need to bring. Co-founder and buyer Alison Skeates will meet with designers one-on-one to offer feedback on their collections as well as tips on how to approach potential stockists. The founder of EC One, Jos Skeates, will also be on hand with head goldsmith Jude Huntley to offer advice on the technical matters of manufacturing and costs.
The ultimate prize of the event will be the possibility of being selected to stock at EC One’s Exmouth location. Maia Corduan, the retailers shop manager, will also be available to discuss merchandising and sales techniques.
