Simon Wright’s Vintage Art Deco Inspired Masterpiece

Feb. 22 2016
Simon Wright’s vintage Art Deco style engagement ring is a masterful creation, combining timeless elegance with a striking aesthetic.

Simon Wright is a designer whom both F and I admire greatly. He is bold with his creations and has such a varied repertoire that I never tire of flicking though his beautiful collections. Designing with an enviable flair and an integrity that is conveyed in every piece he crafts, Simon intricately and expertly turns the dreams of his clients into reality.

The attention to detail and the richness of the finished piece are classic Simon Wright.

Vintage Art Deco Style Engagement Ring By Simon Wright

I fell in love with this vintage Art Deco style engagement ring the second I saw it. With diamond mill grain detail used to flank the main stone, the design incorporates angular shapes and an abundance of features. Defying the geometric dominance of the ring, the round central diamond brings softer elements and added interest. F agrees with me and says he loves the way the ring reflects the true meaning of the phrase “Art Deco”: it is art that decorates.

The use of white gold accentuates the elegance of the ring and the engraving on the band adds an extra dimension.

Couples searching for that unique token of their love for each other might be interested in Simon’s ‘Perfect Proposal’ concept: propose with a beautiful small box filled with the precious raw materials that can be turned into the perfect engagement ring. Once you have chosen the raw materials, you and your partner can get creative and spend time in Simon’s studio creating the ring you never knew you wanted! I love this idea and, when I see this stunning bespoke piece, I am filled with inspiration to create my own.
