The Force of Nature within Pink Engagement Rings
Mabel Hasell’s work has such an air of individuality and freedom to it – it’s like a breath of fresh air. Her experimental approach to designing really defines why F and I want to go bespoke; you certainly wouldn’t find a unique creation such as this on the high street!
What makes me especially excited about Mabel’s designs is the aura of mystery that emanate from them. As I gaze upon this pink engagement ring, the rawness of the rubies makes me feel as if I am discovering them for the first time, deeply embedded inside volcanic rock.
The organic form of her gemstone settings is the result of the cire perdue technique she has used, which allows the stones to move of their own accord when being cast in metal. To me, this unpredictable way in which Mabel creates her rings is a direct reflection of her nature inspired motifs.
It fills me with excitement that these rubies are being given the freedom to set themselves on the metal band, much like the freedom they move in when the unpredictable force of nature creates them. This is certainly one of the most unconventional pink engagement rings I’ve come across.
