The Big Yellow or White Gold Debate

Aug. 28 2014
Deciding on a yellow or white gold engagement ring can be just one of many daunting decisions that need to be made. However, sometimes you can have it all.

I know that L has been struggling with making some of the big decisions regarding her engagement ring. A yellow or a white gold engagement ring? Diamond or coloured gemstone? Solitaire or cluster? The decisions, and options, are endless.

So I am relatively sure she was absolutely thrilled when I introduced her to Mirri Damer’s Star Ring that had the potential to be fully customized and featured both yellow and white gold.

Surprisingly the partnership of white and yellow gold is not all that common despite their beautiful complimenting effect on each other. Mirri Damer’s ring highlights this unified collaboration exquisitely with each luxury metal featured in its own right but made even more stunning alongside its partner. Two bands create this particular yellow and white gold engagement ring that stack cohesively to interlock two delicate star cut diamonds.

The look is classic, elegant and whimsical.

As with many of Mirri’s pieces, this ring, although seemingly perfect already, can be customised to reflect individual wishes. This yellow and white gold engagement ring band has the softest looking brushed matte finish which could also be polished for a glossier look if preferred.

I know it was relief for L to see that it truly was possible, in this instance at least, to have it all.
