Art Deco Engagement Rings with a Contemporary Twist
I know that Amanda Li Hope loves to push the boundaries when it comes to geometric shapes so I was certainly excited to see her interpretation of Art Deco engagement rings.
I find the way that Amanda has experimented with Art Deco shapes to be very intriguing. She has taken the usual geometric patterns and turned them on their heads, but is still using strong, striking Art Deco shapes. Amanda has really adapted the style to suit her own which is a very brave move! It’s certainly paid off; this design is absolutely stunning.
It is a true testament to Amanda’s talent that she can take such a long celebrated style and still add something new to it.
Her use of a tsavorite gemstone adds an even further refreshing element to this Art Deco engagement ring. L and I have been enjoying unusual stones more and more on our journey of bespoke design, so this sparkling green stone appealed to us greatly.
Amanda’s use of Art Deco colours really gives this piece an authentic feel while her experimentation with fundamental shapes contemporises it.
It is one of my favourite examples of contrasting motifs within jewellery. It is certainly very true to Amanda’s style and L and I are both excited to see what she comes up with next.
